Well, this has been on repeat for long enough for some opinions to happen.
I like it. I’m super glad he’s still making music as Bon Iver.
i can’t stop listening to that lead-off track, Perth. That riff is so insanely familiar to me, I know that I must have played it at some point while noodling around with an electric. He builds the song beautifully from it.
That last track on the album is in a style that sounds straight out of some kind of 80s synth pop slow jam ballad.
Really.
I thought it was a joke track somehow jammed into the NPR feed of the album when I heard it the first time. I find it both amusing and fascinating.
I have to wait for the damned thing to actually come out so I can listen to it in the car and get some proper music listening happening. In the meantime, those are some opinions.
