Michele Bachmann doesn’t see what Michele Bachmann has to do with the Michele Bachmann campaign.
Can we all just agree to go back to ignoring this woman now?
It was amusing when she’d pop up once every few months to say something completely outrageous in an interview to garner attention and then go back to being quietly crazy in the House. But I’m starting to get Crazy Fatigue here.
Don’t get me wrong, I love that she’s screwing with the (VERY) early part of the Republican primary, but I genuinely worry about this: by the time she’s done, she’s going to make any Republican candidate (and that includes Ron “Kooky Grandpa Libertarian” Paul) seem sane, grounded, and immensely capable as a speaker, campaigner, and potential leader.
So: let’s all pretend she doesn’t exist and maybe she’ll gently pull the other candidates out towards Crazytown, through those fertile fields of unelectability, and maybe force one or two sticky answers out of them that they’ll have to defend in the general campaign.
